Safeguarding

Due to the complex needs of the individuals we support, safeguarding remains a central priority. We ensure the safety and well-being of both residents and staff by:

  • Regularly reviewing and updating comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Providing ongoing training for staff on safeguarding, adult protection, and managing challenging behaviours
  • Appointing a Designated Safeguarding Lead who collaborates with safeguarding authorities and partner organizations
  • Implementing a structured Concern Reporting process to identify and assess individuals at greater risk, ensuring close monitoring and risk management planning
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments for all individuals to maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Reviewing incidents to continuously improve practice, enhance safety measures, and prevent recurrence
  • Working in partnership with external professionals, such as healthcare providers, social workers, mental health teams, and law enforcement when necessary
  • Assessing risks at the point of admission to ensure appropriate placement and compatibility within shared living environments
  • Training staff in non-physical de-escalation techniques, as physical restraint is not permitted. Our services are therefore not suitable for individuals who pose a high risk of physical aggression.

Our commitment to safeguarding ensures that individuals receive the highest standard of care in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
